Metabolic rates are lower in fat tissues than muscle tissue. Metabolic rates are lower in women than men. Metabolic rates decrease with age. Metabolic rates increase with an increase in body temperature. To lose weight, you will need to reduce your daily calorie intake below your total daily calorie requirement which is indicated by your BMR plus your activity level and lifestyle habit. Ways to increase your activity levels range from dedicating more time to working out or finding little ways to stay more active throughout the day. Healthy eating habits. Always start your day with water Go for a walk or exercise then. Have nuts and fruits. Breakfast with good protein and complex carbohydrates. Mid morning snack of vegetables juice or fruit. 4 hours gap to lunch and dinner . Evening snack of good protein. Dinner lightest meal and should be over 2-3 hours before bed. Always stroll after dinner. Keep yourself hydrated throughout the day. Keep yourself active throughout the day by doing some non exercise activity thermogenesis. Take a sound sleep of 7-8 hours to be rejuvenated for the next day.
